Online Casino Group to Leave Ongame Network
When a prominent gambling site changes hands what can its competitors expect? Online casino industry analysts are currently speculating on the future of British online casino gambling group Coral Eurobet now that Ben and Win has acquired the Ongame poker network. The Australian online casino group’s purchase of the Swedish poker company has followed a number of large acquisitions in the marketplace aimed at consolidating major gambling sites. The change of ownership could result in several adjustments on the network but none more so than for Coral Eurobet.
Originally a member of the Party Gaming poker network, online casino Coral Eurobet joined the Ongame network in 2005 when the poker giant adopted a new policy to distance itself from “poker skins.” However now that online casino poker firm Ongame has been purchased by Bet and Win, Coral Eurobet’s prospects of remaining a member of the network look to be on shaky ground. The online casino firm is one of Bet and Win’s major competitors in Europe.
Analysts are predicting that the online casino firm will announce its departure from the network this month. While Coral Eurobet and Bet and Win are reportedly in talks in an attempt to come to some mutually beneficial arrangement, the close proximity of competitors has not traditionally been tolerated in the online casino industry. Many believe that Coral Eurobet will leave the Ongame network due to its rivalry with Bet and Win, which will not be keen to share its poker resources with a direct competitor.
