Online Casino Firm Signs Mobile Gaming Deal
A French online casino firm known as ‘Partouche’ has announced its intentions of joining the mobile gambling industry. The online casino firm in conjunction with Probability Games, a British-based mobile gambling company, will soon be providing traditional online casino games such as blackjack, poker and roulette on British mobile gambling platforms.
London-based Probability Games is one of the most prominent mobile gaming software providers bringing online casino games to the British public’s mobile phones. In January 2006 the company recorded over one million pounds sterling worth of mobile bets and anticipates this figure to soar as mobile gambling finds new fans outside UK’s online casino fan base. Its agreement with the French online casino firm is the first time a gambling company established originally as an offline gambling operation has signed a white-label agreement with a mobile gaming software provider.
Mobile gambling is tipped to lead the way for the next generation of British online casino fans after the Gambling Act 2005 is implemented fully by 2007. Many online casino operators are currently working to provide a range of their games via mobile phone. To date, sports betting firms have led the way by setting up betting facilities across mobile gaming platforms.
