Party Gaming, a publicly traded online casino site, which owns Party Poker, has recently released its fourth quarter revenues. The online casino has stated that its profits have gone up an astounding 65% to hit $320.3 million. This is a vast improvement over last years profit earning of a not so mere $194 million, for the same quarter in 2004.
When asked why the business has seen such an increase in quarter earning, Party Gaming answered simply. In the online casino world, all that matters is the number of members each business has. Party Gaming has millions of players from around the world, and over the past year these numbers have been rising substantially. Although poker is most popular in the States, the online casino has stated that over 30% of its recent members have come from European Union and Scandinavian countries.
So what’s the next step for this online casino mega business? Recently, Party Poker has introduced blackjack into its suite of games, and it seems to be a hit among their poker fans. The company is considering launching a fully-integrated platform in the next few months to include a plethora of other exciting online casino games. With such vast profit margins it seems that this online casino group can do no wrong. So onwards and upwards for Party Gaming, it will be intriguing to see what their revenues will look like over the next year.
