IGT to Release Casino Fruit Machine Games to Mobile Market

The leading European developers pf games and touch-screen multimedia for the leisure industry and pubs, Barcrest, has decided to release a new range of casino fruit machine styled games for the mobile phone user. The UK based company made the decision following an investment deal between the interactive games developer Million 2-1 and its parent company, IGT.

The investment deal between the two companies was seen as a strategic move in IGT-UK’s plans to develop and launch their very own range of branded Barcrest casino fruit machine games for the mobile phone gambling market. The first mobile game of the series to be released will be based on the casino fruit machine known as “Hi 5”, which features exclusive progressive jackpots and other special functions similar to those found on land-based casino fruit machine games. IGT-UK also relates to the move as a way of finding new markets for the Barcrest game content.

“According to the Chief Executive of Million 2-1, Chris Sheffield, there is a rising demand for mobile casino fruit machine games to be developed and based on land-based counterparts, and that the industry is responding to this. He also explained that “Mobile gaming is now a very real prospect for the big gaming companies such as IGT-UK and as the market matures we will begin to see the rollout of more sophisticated products for the mobile phone.”
