Wednesday will see Bor Dortmund host Real Madrid in a Champions League match for which the away team are definite favourites with odds of 6/5 versus Dortmund’s 18/7.
Dortmund has failed to win any of their last four home games against Spanish teams, two of which were draws with Real Madrid. In fact, they haven’t won any of their last seven games against Spanish teams.
On the other hand, Real Madrid have only ever won 1 out of 23 European games in Germany.
In total they’ve lost 16 times in Germany including during their last four visits.
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 14 goals in in his last 11 Champions League games but the team has only kept a clean sheet in one of the last eight Champions League games. However, they have won 20 and lost just two of their last 27 games.
Real Madrid has also had more shots on target than any other team in the competition (24) and only allowed opponents four shots on target against them, however, they have conceded three goals.
Even though the last two times the teams have met have ended in draws, it seems that Real Madrid just about has the advantage in this game and should just about win it.
