Each play of the Lotto 6/49 costs $3 and includes one set of numbers for the main jackpot draw and a second set of numbers for the $1 million guaranteed prize draw. The $1 million guaranteed prize draw takes place with each main draw, every Wednesday and Saturday.
To enter just find a lottery retailer and pick your numbers, players need to pick six numbers from 1 to 49 and a ten digit number for the guaranteed prize draw. If you just wish to enter the main jackpot draw then each set of numbers costs $1.
There is also the option to pay $1 extra for an Encore ticket and another chance to win $1 million. There are 22 ways to win an Encore prize and the size of the prize will depend on the way in which your numbers match those drawn. The jackpot is won by matching all 7 numbers in the same order as they were drawn.
