Political Change to Aid Online Casino Industry?

Published on November 25, 2006 by admin   ·   No Comments

With the United States’ election behind us, both the Senate and the Congress are now under Democrats control. The question is “Will political change benefit the online casino industry?” There are many different calls in the online gambling community, and people are making themselves heard. The majority of analysts believe that the answer for the question is “yes”. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, the new anti online casino bill, was promoted and passed by Republicans. The Democrats are not that keen on limiting citizen’s home activities, and the online casino industry might benefit from the new change.

The anti online casino act has been accepted and passed, and changing the verdict won’t be easy. First off, a sound alternative will have to be suggested. Regulating the online casino industry is one of the circulating ideas. The American Gaming Association will gather and decide whether they should lobby Congress to issue a thorough study into the online gambling industry and the possibility of regulating it. Such study will show that the online casino community can be regulated –as of course it can be- and that will open a new window of opportunities.

The online casino industry in the United States has yet to say its final word on the issue of regulation and legislation, and the upcoming months are going to be intriguing. Harnessing the financial power of the online casino industry will only benefit the American economy, and many people in the administration know that. This is only a matter of making the public, and the voters see the big picture.
