The event, which happens to be the second annual Christmas Cracker poker tournament witnessed 117 of Ireland’s top poker players gather in Dublin’s Sporting Emporium on December 9th, 2006, to battle it out for the whopping Euro 63,500 prize. Rory Rees Brennan reined victorious, taking home Euro 17,950 and first place after a full 16 hours of energetic poker. John O’Shea took second place in the online casino sponsored tourney, from a strong final table which included Michael Frisby, Lloyd O’Farrell and the irrepressible Kieran Walsh.
