Massachusetts Lawmakers Examining Online Gambling

There is good news for fans of gambling in Massachusetts as the state’s gaming commission have said that they are looking into online gambling in order to enforce necessary regulations in the future.

There are reports that the state’s lawmakers are already discussing online gambling and Stephen Crosby, the chair of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, has said that it would give the state’s economy a boost if it were legalised. At present MGM, Wynn and Penn National are the biggest land casino operators in the state and they all support legalised online gambling as long as they may maintain their position in the industry.

Earlier this year the state introduced a new bill that would give the Massachusetts State Lottery the go ahead to offer online lottery games. However, it is unlikely that online gambling will be legalised this year, but there is definitely progress in the right direction.
