Snooker Star Signs with Online Casino

Snooker star player and crowd attraction, 31 year old British Ronnie O’Sullivan, also known as The Rocket, has signed a sponsorship agreement with a leading online casino company. The business deal is for eighteen months, during which the player will wear a patch that carries the logo of the online casino. His face will also likely appear on the online casino website and elsewhere in promotional context.
The agreement between the gambling company and the snooker player is expected to raise the online casino business among snooker crowds, those who are already online casino gamblers and those who are not, and vise versa. A similar deal was already in place last year in 2006 between the snooker player and the very same online casino business. This time around, players who win tournaments at the online casino site will get a chance to go against O’Sullivan himself.
Like before, the sponsorship will benefit both the snooker and online casino business, as the player was quoted saying: “I’m chuffed to be joining up with 888, they have given snooker a great boost in the last year and it’s obvious they are serious about the sport.” He is one of several leading snooker players who are sponsored by the online casino business. The list also includes Graeme Dott, snooker great John Higgins and Chinese sensation Ding Junhui. As a matter of fact, some of the snooker world’s best tournaments are sponsored by the online casino companies, further tying the two businesses closer together.
