The Top Spots in the Online Casino Industry

With the ever expanding online casino industry it is not surprising that many casinos are in constant competition to be rated in the top ten best. The current leader of the pack is the Party Gaming group, whose subsidiaries include well known poker room Party Poker and Star Luck Online Casino. It seems that Party Gaming will be keeping its number one position for a while. However, the number two spot, held currently by UK-based Sporting Bet, maybe losing its place in the coming months pending negotiations between two competitors: Bet and Win and the On Game group.

Bet and Win, an Austrian-based online casino, is one of the largest betting sites in Europe, with most of its clientele coming from this region and Russia. The online casino is currently negotiating a €500 million takeover of the Swedish casino giant On Game. On Game is the owner of the Poker Room website, which is presently considered to be the third largest online casino poker site. As of November 1st, Poker Room had a total clientele of over 6 million players.

If the deal goes through Bet and Win will have a major advantage over Sporting Bet, allowing gamers to play both online casino games and bet at sporting events under one account. In addition, the merger will substantially broaden the customer base of Bet and Win to include the 6 million customers, 85% of which reside in the US, Canada and UK. Although the negotiations are still in the beginning stages, if all goes well, Bet and Win is certain secure the second place spot for the worlds top online casino sites.
