A four year contract has been closed between William Hill sports betting and America's Scientific Games Corporation this week, whereby William Hill will be provided with multi-game-sever-based sports betting terminals for their chain of sports betting shops across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
William Hill already boasts over 2,250 sports betting shops and an installed base of more than 8,300 sports betting machines. The new contract will see Global Draw provide an additional 2,100 Nevada sports betting terminals (approximately) to 548 of the sports betting shops by the end of March 2008.

The contract was drawn up following recent changes to England's gaming laws, which now aloe sports betting shops to hold up to 4 B2 or B3 category sports betting machines. Global Draw's Nevada sports betting terminals were already trialed at William Hill last year, and offer both B2 and B3 category, formerly jackpot, and formerly fixed-odds sports betting services. The Group Director for William Hill sports betting, Ian Chutter, explained that they were "very impressed with the performance of Global Draw's new Nevada terminals and level of service."

Similarly, the Chairman and CEO for Scientific Games, Lorne Weil, said that "the Global Draw dual purpose machines, server-based gaming technology and in-house content should ensure greater choice and flexibility for William Hill's sports betting shop customers and we are looking forward to rolling out these machines in approximately one-quarter of our estate."
