What's a better way of celebrating the New Year than playing new versions of video poker? Microgaming, the Isle of Man based gambling turnkey provider, decided to award us with new version of the popular game and will launch the new additions on January. Beta version of the game will be unveiled at the International Casino Exhibition in London, which takes place next month. So, what's new? Apparently, plenty is. Microgaming said that the games feature a completely new table design and many new options.

The new platform will introduce new features that will make the game much more intuitive and enhance both player's experience and enjoyment. The online casino software provider believes that the new platform will get both seasoned players as well as novice ones to the table quicker than before. "Extensive player feedback has been at the heart of our development programme for this new poker software, which is why it delivers regardless of whether you are a novice or seasoned pro," said the firm's CEO.

The new platform will be available on more than 40 casinos that enjoy Microgaming licensing deals. Casino players using the new version of the game will be allowed to create their own avatars and use them to socialize with other players. The platform was built especially for online players and delivers many features that were missing from prior versions of video poker. Being the most popular game on the web, online poker deserves a new version to welcome 2008. If you tend to play at Microgaming based online casinos, then you are in for a ride during the first part of the New Year. However, as always, other software provider, like Playtech, will surely release new versions of their casino products as well so we could all have a Happy New Year.
