The winds of change keep blowing all over the world, as news come from Poland saying that the European government is seriously looking into licensing online casino gambling. The Warsaw Voice is reporting that Polish courts might adopt the ruling made by the European Court of Justice regarding a British bookmaker that was not allowed to work in Italy. The case ended with the Italian government adopting new regulations for online casino betting, and basically opening the Italian market for the online casino industry. Poland is now thinking of taking the same round and open yet another European market to the world of online casino gambling.

The popularity of online casino gambling has risen in Europe since the big shift that followed the enactment of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act last year. The world of online gambling has shifted its focus towards the European market with most online casino sites offering their portfolios in all sorts of foreign languages. The European public has answered favorably and many Europeans are gambling at online casino sites all the time. Even in Poland, there are currently several online gambling operators that work without regulations. The new law will create a frame in which the industry will work and be regulated. The players will enjoy a safe online experience, and the government could benefit off the tax revenue.

Regulating the online casino industry is a notion that many European governments are looking into. In contradiction to the United States, where the authorities have damaged the operation of the online gambling industry, Europe sees the potential and wants to make the best out of the situation. The European citizens are clearly loving their online casino sites, and brining them a safer and more responsible industry is something that any government in the world should strive for. Italy has already opened the Italian market for the industry and is giving out gambling licenses for online and land based operations. According to the report, the Polish government is aiming for a similar model.
