According to publications, Gary Kaplan is opposing his continued incarceration and the charges that have been brought against him by the Department of Justice. Kaplan is the founder of the Bet On Sports online betting site which has been under ongoing investigation by the Department of Justice. The DoJ has filled charges against Kaplan under the Wire Act and the RICO laws. The charges focus on Kaplan's involvement with the online casino group which he founded and had to withdraw from the United States market following the DoJ actions. The story of Bet On Sports is a famous one at the online gambling community and everyone is following it. The online casino site was very popular and many players used to enjoy its games.

Kaplan was arrested earlier this year and was extradited to the United States by the Dominican Republic and was jailed on grounds that he constitutes a flight risk. Currently there is no known trial date and Kaplan will remain jailed until further investigation can take place. The online casino founder has hired heavy guns to fight his legal battle and this is clearly not the end of this story. It's sad to see how a wonderful online enterprise sinks to the bottom and have to battle authorities. The United States market was the biggest online casino market in the world and many different firms offered different options for the American markets, not all were legitimate.

Hopefully, the Department of Justice would reach the truth and we could see the end of this terrible turn of events. Obviously, this does not represent the look and feel of the online casino industry and the online gambling community. The legal situation in the United States is not all too clear and some firms find themselves on the wrong side of the law without even realizing it.
