These days, online gambling advertisement is being discussed in Europe; mainly in the United Kingdom. Online gambling groups are hoping to advertise their online gambling business and promote their online selection of gambling products by doing so. However, governments are reluctant at the prospect of gambling advertisement for the general public. As always, the battle will be decided in the court of public opinion. What is more important? Is it the freedom of speech, the public's right for its own choice and freedom of mind?

Online casino operators usually have deep pockets. These are the pockets that will finance the large publicity campaigns that these operators have in mind. Why not use their capital for a different kind of advertisement, advertisement that will benefit online casino groups much better than a few more commercials? Online gambling groups can use their capital and advertise the notion of liberty. They can promote the idea of freedom and the fact that any citizen in a western country is entitled for his own decision of mind. People should know that politicians are trying to limit their choices by making choices in their name. The public should be aware that of the legislation battle between governments across Europe and the online gambling industry. Such a campaign would benefit everyone.

First, it is legal. While the legality of online gambling advertisements is still under debate, advertisement of ideas is not under question. This is the message for online casino firms out there: let the people know; tell them that they can influence; make the battle public. There are many gambling fans out there that simply do not realize that their next vote for Congress, for example, could make a difference. Online casino gambling firms should focus on the big picture and advertise the very existence of the industry, the online community, and the legal situation that surrounds it.
