The online casino software provider Cryptologic, one of the largest firms in the business, has signed a new agreement to purchase a part of 568 Network Inc. The latter develops online games for the Chinese market. Cryptologic is seeking to broaden its online games portfolio and strengthen its grip over the growing Asian market. Under the new agreement, the online software provider can cease control over 586 in the future. It's reported that Cryptologic has paid $1.2 million for this privilege. The Asian online gambling market is growing in an alarming rate and everyone wants in. Being able to control a firm that offers online gaming for the Chinese market is a great plus for Cryptologic.

"Just as Cryptologic is an e-gaming industry leader in Europe today, we aim to be a leader in Asia tomorrow," said the company's CEO. The population of Asia stands on close to four billion people, and with a fast internet adoption rate - this market is about to explode. Cryptologic sees itself as a leader in online casino software development and licensing and wants to a central player in the future Asian market. With the new agreement signed, the two companies are planning a new China-based venture that will offer skill-based games for the Chinese speaking markets. Among the games, Chinese speaking players could find casino poker, online pool, mahjong and various card games that feature Chinese poker variants.

Developing games for the Asian market calls for a deep understanding of Asian culture. Offering the same games that European players favor for the Chinese is not affective, as different people look for different things in their online gambling. Players like to feel welcomed and that the games and sites that they use are looking at them as their clients. This can be accomplished by developing dedicated games for these players. And this is the exact path Cryptologic is heading in.
