If online casinos could be totally trusted, do you think that the United States government would approve of online gambling? That's an interesting question, but speculation is always rife amongst online casino advocates when it comes to the U.S. approving of online casino gambling and helping the industry to succeed on American shores. But it is doubtful that Washington will anytime soon come to trust the unregulated online casino industry, based as it is mostly in "tax havens" that give lawmakers from sea-to-shining-sea the impression that online casino companies have something to hide.

Thus, it is highly unlikely that ordinary American online casino gamblers will be able to sway their elected representatives sufficiently to force a change...at least, anytime soon, that is. While online casino gambling is a popular activity in the United States, it is hardly ubiquitous. America is a society that likes to gamble and take risks, but it also places limits on itself. As consumers, once bitten by an untrustworthy company many Americans are definitely twice shy about trusting a strange company, even one that offers gambling games and a chance to win money, if it appears to be the least bit on the shady side of things.

If online casino gambling was a major hot-button issue, things might be different. But in wartime America, with troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and tensions over Iranian nuclear research and North Korean missiles, along with illegal immigration...online gambling just doesn't fit in with what Americans perceive to be their priorities at the moment. No political party, only individual members of parties, has made "legalizing" OR "banning" online casino gambling a priority. Full of inflated opinions of itself, the online casino industry wishes this were otherwise. However, it may have a long while to wait before truth merges with fiction in this area.
