What is the most popular game at online casino sites for American gamblers? Is there really even any valid answer to this question other than poker? Probably not, because not only is poker the most popular online casino game in the United States...it is also the most popular online casino game around the world! It is important to remember, though, that poker was popular in the U.S. a long time before the internet was invented and will likely stay as America's favorite gambling game thanks to the double exposure provided by online casino poker and live poker games and shows on cable.

If you have never played a game of regular poker, then it stands to reason that you probably haven't played a game of online poker before either. There isn't anything wrong with this, mind you. Online casino gambling isn't the end-all-be-all of computer or internet gaming. But if you're interested in being a part in one of the internet's biggest phenomena since, well, probably the invention of eBay then you should at least learn some regular poker so that you can talk about online poker as if you're a knowledgeable soul.

Now, just because you're being urged to learn a bit about poker doesn't mean that in order to get by in this wide world of ours you must know a bit about poker. It is perfectly acceptable - in fact, it's encouraged! - to be able to talk about thousands (or even just hundreds) of things other than poker. Still, in the U.S. these days the poker phenomenon doesn't show any signs of going away and so if you're trying to avoid poker don't travel to Vegas and don't subscribe to digital cable TV!
