Million-2-1, an online casino mobile technology developer based in the United Kingdom, announced this week that it has raised three million pounds sterling to assist with future expansion initiatives. The company raised the impressive sum to assist with its future growth in the online casinos industry and the strategic development of its mobile technology platform. The news was announced by the online casino technology firm's chief executive Chris Sheffield this week in Manchester.

Sheffield told media that Million-2-1 has "aggressive expansion plans" and that the sum raised by the technology firm has injected new life into its online casino business. The mobile development firm creates software programs responsible for powering online casino technology that players access via their mobile phones. The company has agreements in place in China, Australia, the Netherlands and Ireland. Plans to launch its online casino mobile service in Spain, the U.S. and South Africa are underway, with implementation scheduled for the last quarter of this year.

A number of other technology firms have sought to consolidate their position in the online casino industry recently by raising funds for expansion. Industry analysts commonly believe that acquisition is one of the key factors destined to change the online casino industry, with many firms purchasing others in an attempt to diversify their products and services as competition increases.
