A leading Gibraltar-based online casino poker software company and network was recently sold this week in a sudden move following a deal with a newbie private company which is operated by a team of industry veterans. This team specializes in multi-player online casino gaming software technology development and is based in Costa Rica, with other development divisions in Asia and Eastern Europe. The jobs of existing employees for the sold online casinos software group will not be affected according to a spokesperson for the buying company.

'We are adding many features to the product and are focused on providing the ultimate poker platform to gaming companies so that they may take advantage of the unprecedented opportunities in the online poker and peer to peer gaming space. We are pleased that the core...platform gives us a springboard into the marketplace and gives us a solid base,' the spokesperson also stated. She went out to reveal that the software technology company who bought the online casino software group is installing a new team of experienced industry professionals to take over the acquired group's operations. The buyer will now have a solid online casino customer base from which to begin its business operations.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The online casino software technology group that was sold has already contractually secured some major network partners that will be announced shortly. These partners will add significantly to the new online casino network's player liquidity over the next six to eight weeks, and announcements can be expected as additional network partners make their moves to the new online casino software platform public.

The online casino software technology group's owners will be working with the acquiring group's new management team to transition the operation over the next 90 days. The original software team of 60+ individuals, most with 6 or more years of online casino gaming software experience, will be retained by the new company and will grow thanks to the addition of several knowledgeable industry IT professionals and management staff.
