A leading online casino has announced its Christmas event to its online casino patrons. The event, which happens to be the second annual Christmas Cracker poker tournament witnessed 117 of Ireland's top poker players gather in Dublin's Sporting Emporium on December 9th, 2006, to battle it out for the whopping Euro 63,500 prize. The online casinos group gave players an early Christmas present by paying registration fees for the Euro 500 buy-in event and adding Euro 5,000 to the overall prize pool. Now that's a way to bring entertainment and the feeling of the season to fans everywhere!

With names of poker players and entertainment icons like Andy Black, Dave Masters, Len Collin, Tony Cooney, Sideshow Bob, and others, the top players and those of lesser fame in Irish poker turned out in numbers for the best online casino value tournament of the season. This gave great publicity to the online casino and brought an exciting event to its fans.

'Let me tell you, the Irish are not totally mad gamblers; it might be the Viking in them but they are tactically excellent. Never be fooled, their hospitality and charm is a tactical weapon in their aim to enjoy taking your every last cent,' said English nightclub impresario turned poker pro, 'Catman'. He attended the event and got an object lesson in the crafty nature of Irish poker. Unfortunately for Catman he lost every last cent, exiting a few hours into the online casino sponsored event. However, he did manage to outlast 2005 WSOP main event finalist Andy Black whose aggressive play saw him fold after the first few hands. Online casino players were surely surprised to see that happen.

With people from the entertainment industry, as well as poker stars known throughout the online casino industry and the world of regular, land-based poker, this Christmas event was a smash. Rory Rees Brennan reined victorious, taking home Euro 17,950 and first place after a full 16 hours of energetic poker. John O'Shea took second place in the online casino sponsored tourney, from a strong final table which included Michael Frisby, Lloyd O'Farrell and the irrepressible Kieran Walsh.
