According to 3rd quarter figures, 888 Online Casino has managed to double its number of registered members in comparison to the same period last year. John Anderson, chief executive of the online casino company says, "Our performance for this three-month period has been particularly pleasing given that, historically, trading for the online casino segment in July and August is the weakest for the year". Anderson also comments on his projections for the 4th quarter saying, "The results for October are encouraging and the online casino business continues to perform in line with our expectations in both poker and online casino games. We are confident that the 888 Online Casino business model is strongly positioned to take advantage of the continued growth in the worldwide online casino market".
The growth in the number of players has affected all areas of operation for the online casino. For example, the amount of people that played poker at the online casino between the months of July and September of this year has increased by 143% in comparison to the same time last year. With 228,252 more people playing poker, poker rake revenues have jumped by 178% to $29.5 million.
